REPOST - Summer Love Couples Photo Session: Patrick & Briana - Thomas Lowry Park Minneapolis
Why do I love photographing couples?
Because I love telling stories and what better way to tell a story (through photographs) than of love?
Each couple is different and unique (I know, that sounds a little cliche) but it’s true and that’s one of the things that makes photographing couples so much fun.
It’s like writing a brand new book every single time I have a photo session with a couple. I have to come up with a title (location of the photo session), visualize the story (by getting to know the couple) and then write the story (by taking the photo).
But we don’t know how to pose like that. Can you make us look like that couple?
Like I mentioned above, each couple is unique. Can I make you look EXACTLY like the couple in this blog post? No but what I can do, is find your “sweet spot”. No, not like that. Don’t let your mind go to the gutter. When I find your sweet spot, I will be able to create a story that is unique to you by creating images of you that feel natural and easy.
Now, how do I do that? By giving you a little guidance but mostly, letting you be you. I find that couples feel more relaxed during a photo session when they can just be themselves. That is how I’m able to capture your story naturally.
Life is hectic, busy, adventurous, challenging, fun, memorable but most of all, time goes by so fast. That’s why I think it’s important for couples to have a photo session just because. I mean, why not?
And you don’t have to wait for a special occasion like, an anniversary, wedding, or an engagement, to have a photo session. You can have a photo session to celebrate moving into a new home or maybe you just moved here and you want to commemorate the occasion by having a fun photo session at a beautiful park you found tucked away in your neighborhood.
Couples photo sessions are a great way to take a break from your busy life, spend some time with the one you love, have fun, laugh, and create a story that you can look back on over the years sharing memories with the one you love, who will then pass it on down generations for your children and grandchildren to share.
I have a photo session for every type of couple, check them out here.
But we don’t know how to prepare for a photo session.
