FAQs regarding Pricing, Payment , Delivery of Images & what to expect.
Where are you located?
I’m in Minneapolis?
What areas to you serve?
Mostly Minneapolis & St. Paul however, I’m willing to travel to other cities and suburbs for a travel distance fee. We can discuss this during our chat over the phone or on a Zoom call.
Do I have to pay a retainer fee once I book my session?
Yes, this is required in order to book your session and lock it in place. The retainer fee is non- refundable. Photo sessions are not considered booked until the retainer fee is paid.
How much is the retainer fee?
For Lifestyle photo sessions ( this includes couples photo sessions as well as lifestyle family photo sessions ), the fee is $100 dollars. This fee does go towards your photo package. Please note, the retainer fee is non-refundable )
If I cancel my photo session, do I receive a refund?
Yes, minus the retainer fee.
What if I have to cancel do to circumstances that are out of my hands, such as a medical condition, illness or a death in the family?
Life happens and I completely understand that. If something happens that is out of your control, I will work with you to either reschedule your photo session or, discuss your options for a refund.
Can I reschedule my photo session?
Yes, if the date that you choose is available, you may reschedule your photo session if needed.
What happens if I booked an outdoor photo session and it rains, snows or some other weather condition that would cause the photo session to be cancelled ?
I keep an eye out for the weather conditions and if I see that it’s going to rain or snow or be to hot
or cold, I will contact you to see if you’d like to reschedule, an alternate place for the photo session ( example, in studio, or some other cool place ) or just go for it! If the date is not available, we can discuss a solution and refund ).
**Please note, I don’t mind shooting in the snow or when it’s cold out however, for everyone’s safety, if there is a heat advisory warning or a cold weather advisory warning, I will not risk the safety of my health as well as yours. **
What happens if I ( your photographer ) becomes ill or have to cancel ?
Hopefully, that doesn’t happen but if it does, I will contact you to reschedule or, I will have another awesome photographer that has the same shooting style as myself to do your photo session and if that doesn’t work, we can discuss a refund.
Do I have to pay for my photo session in full upon booking?
No, however, please keep in mind that in order for your photo session to be booked, you must pay a retainer fee.
Once that is paid, you have the option to pay in full three days before the date of your photo session or, I can set-up a payment plan to fit your needs.** Please note, that your photo session must be paid in full one day prior to your photo session in order for me to show up to shoot the session.**
What happens after I book my photo session?
You will receive a note from me regarding the next steps as well as a copy of the contract, model release form, permission to use the photos form as well as the invoice.
Don’t worry, I will walk you through every step of your photo session process. I will keep you updated on the progress of your photos as well as give you tips on how to prepare for your photo session , what to wear, picking a location, the best time for your photo session, posing and what to expect.
Will you help me to pick put a location for my photo session?
Absolutely! I’ll share some of my favorite locations for photo sessions. I want to take the pressure off of you worrying about the best place to take photos.
Will you help with clothing suggestions?
Yes, I have a some tips that I will share with you about what to wear once you’ve booked your photo session?
Do you have suggestions for the best time for my photo session?
Yep! We can discuss that during our chat over the phone or on a zoom call.
Do you have a photo assistant and will they be at the photo session?
Yes, I have a photo assistant who will attend the photo session if needed. Depending upon the date, time and photo needs, my photo assistant will attend the session and record behind the scenes footage of your photo session. I will let you know if my assistant will attend the photo session before you photo session date arrives.
How and when do I receive my photos?
Your un-edited photos will be uploaded to a beautiful online gallery called ( Pic-Time ). You will then be instructed to pick your favorite photos from the photo session.
Once you choose those photos, I will edit them and you’ll receive a notification from me letting you know that your edited photos are ready for to view and download.
Can I purchase more photos than what is in my photo package?
Absolutely! The cost for additional photos is listed in the Pic-Time shop.
When do I receive my photos?
It takes approximately 2- 3 weeks to receive your photos. Once you pick the images that you’d like for your photo session, I will start the photo edits and you will receive the photos within 2 - 3 weeks after you’ve picked the photos you’d like from your photo session package. So, the sooner you pick your images, the sooner you will receive your photos.
Can I get them sooner than 2 - 3 weeks?
Yes you can however, there is a fee for rush orders.
Why does it take 2-3 weeks to receive my photo gallery images?
I don’t outsource my photo editing ( at this time ) , I edit them myself.
In order to insure that everyone that I photograph receives the best quality images, I have to make sure that your images are edited properly, beautifully and accurately and that takes time. I will try my best to get your photos to you before 2-3 weeks is up however, I have to make sure there is enough time to edit your photos properly and 2 -3 weeks insures me that I can get your photos to you in a timely manner.
Do I have to pay to download my images from the Pic-Time gallery?
No, it is free to download your photos ( within your photo package amount ).
What photo service do you use for printing and ordering photos, albums, enlargements and framed photos?
Bay Photo & White House Custom Color through Pic-Time.
Will I be able to print my photos?
Yes however, please keep in mind that if you choose to print the photos on your home computer or through an outside source other than Bay Photo, the photos may not look the same. The Photo service that I use at this time is Bay Photo & White House Custom Color for photo printing service such as albums, prints, cards and frames. I highly recommend using Bay Photo or White House Custom Color as opposed to an outside source in order to get the same color quality as the images you see in the Pic-Time photo gallery.
What does your editing process look like?
My goal is to bring out the best in you ( not that you’re not already awesome ). I take my time to edit your photos and I keep it simple. I like to use brown neutral tones that are natural, warm or cool ( depending upon the lighting ) for my editing style.
Why?
Because the color tones that I use add a little spunk of color to bring out the best tones for your beautiful skin.
