Hey Beautiful Momma’s Summer’s here!

It’s the season of sunshine, barbecues, and all of life’s adventures with the kiddos and your partner.

It’s time to dive into those cool drinks, light up the grill, and soak in those long summer nights filled with art fairs, outdoor concerts, and maybe a splash or two at the pool.

What do you love the most about summer?

While I’m not a huge fan of the intense summer heat (humidity is not my best friend! ) , I can handle those perfect 75-80 degree days with a gentle breeze.

Anything above 95 degrees with buzzing mosquitoes? Not for me!

But let’s be honest—we all have at least one memory that we cherish  from our childhood that makes us smile.

Even though my summers were not perfect, I remember summer days filled with sleeping in (until Mom called me out, of course!), endless hours playing outside, swimming at the local pool with friends and sometimes family, family reunions, and summer camp!

Every year, as far back as I can remember, my mom would send me off camp. 4-H Camp, Canoe Camp, Computer Camp, Reading Camp, Robin Hood Camp, Sherwood Camp ( just to name a few ).

And each one of them contributed to my love for storytelling, and now, through photography, my goal is to tell your stories just like you experienced them—forever freezing those moments in time.

So, as you step into this beautiful summer, here are some fun ideas to help you and your partner ( as well as your family ) create lasting memories:

  1. Local Art Fairs: Support local artists while diving into creativity! Grab a bite, sip some drinks, and meet new friends all while soaking up amazing art.

  2. Patio Coffee Outings: Find a cute local coffee shop with outdoor seating. Grab a refreshing iced coffee or tea, enjoy the sun, and catch up with friends or family.

  3. Grocery Store Tastings: Head to your local grocery store for a flavor adventure! Sample new grilling ideas and tasty treats. Many stores host live music, so you might even enjoy a mini-concert while sampling delicious bites.

  4. Farmers Market Fun: Get the whole family to the farmer’s market early! Enjoy coffee and breakfast while exploring fresh produce. Cook up something fun together, then enjoy a picnic in your backyard!

  5. Outdoor Movie Night: Set up a cozy outdoor movie night in your yard or on your balcony. All you need is a laptop or iPad, some tasty snacks, and good company. Just don’t forget the mosquito repellent!

  6. Wine Tasting: For the moms needing a little adult relaxation ( don’t leave out your partner ), check out your local liquor store for free wine tasting events. Or, discover some non-alcoholic options like Three Spirits or Aplos for a refreshing summer sip.
