Three simple holiday date night ideas for busy Mom’s!
The holidays are a busy time.

Doing the normal everyday things like planning meals, cooking dinner, picking up the kids from school and doing laundry is already stressful.
Now, it’s holiday time and you’re planning the holiday meal, shopping and trying to find the time to put up the tree.
I’m not a Mom but, I get it!
You’ve got a lot on your plate at all times. Know that you’re doing a great job and, you also deserve a date night with your hubby.
But let’s face it, it’s been a long time because of all the to do’s on your list and you just don’t know how to plan a simple date night.
Not because you’re incapable of doing so, it’s just that you don’t have time.
Well, that’s where I come in.

Like I said, I’m not a Mom but, I know that as a Mom, you’re busy and you’d love to have a date night with your hubby.
But how? And when? And what should you do?
Below, I’ve got a few ideas to share. Simple, short and easy.
Pick a night ( depending on your work schedule ) and go for a walk around your neighborhood and look at the holiday lights.
Trust me, it’s fun!
Especially if you bring a hot beverage with you ( if you’re in a cold state ). Make sure to dress warm and, if theirs a park near by that’s decked out for the holidays, bring a blanket and sit on the bench and look at the holiday lights. You can chat and enjoy the lights. Such a simple way to have a date night that doesn’t cost a thing.
Go to your local winter festival. Here in Minnesota, theirs plenty of outdoor festivals and activities to do in the winter.
One of my favorites is the Holidazzle held in downtown Minneapolis. Dress warm and head downtown to shop, look at the lights on Nicollet mall, have some hot chocolate and enjoy the festive atmosphere! It’s a great way to have a simple date night.
Now, the Holidazzle is free to attend however, you’ll need to bring a little for shopping and hot chocolate!

Do you have a fire pit?
If so, find a baby sitter, grab your favorite beverage ( wine, cider, or hot chocolate, ok Maybe those are just my favorites ) and sit outside by the fire.
Just you and your hubby and enjoy your time together. It’s another quick and simple way to have a date night at home. No travel, no cost, just a simple way to have a date night.
